Job Description
FEM is committed to reducing youth unemployment through the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, a collaboration between business and government. The programme provides South African youth with the opportunity to gain skills and workplace experience, significantly improving their chances of long-term employment after completing the 12-month internship. We have open positions within the Pensions, Claims, Quality Assurance, and Registry departments.
Responsibilities
- Participate in day-to-day operations of the assigned department.
- Assist with administrative tasks, claims processing, or IT support based on the internship placement.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and workflow.
- Gain exposure to various business processes and operations within your department.
- Receive training and mentorship to develop key skills and knowledge in your field.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (compulsory).
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant qualifications, such as:
- Claims: Administration or related qualification.
- Operations: Health and Safety, Project Management, Insurance, Sales and Marketing qualifications.
- IT: IT qualification.
Experience
- No prior experience required; this programme is designed for individuals without formal work experience.
- Candidates must be unemployed at the time of application.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite will be advantageous.
