Position Purpose: The purpose of the Northern Cape Provincial Treasury Internship Program is to develop the skills and competencies of young professionals by providing hands-on experience in public financial management. Duties And Responsibilities:

Education:

  • Recently completed or currently completing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum academic requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Experience:

  • No prior professional experience required; however, any relevant internships, academic projects, or part-time work in finance, accounting, or public administration will be considered advantageous.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of financial management principles and public sector operations is beneficial.
