Job Description

The YES (Youth Employment Service) Programme is a business-led initiative in collaboration with the government to combat youth unemployment. This program offers young people the opportunity to acquire new skills and gain valuable workplace experience. By participating, candidates can significantly improve their prospects for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in assigned tasks and responsibilities as part of the workplace training.
• Engage in skill development and on-the-job learning to enhance employability.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet program objectives.
• Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward acquiring workplace skills and experience.
• Complete all tasks and projects as directed within the 12-month internship period.

Qualifications

• Must be between the ages of 18 and 29.
• A valid Grade 12/Matric certificate is required.
• Willingness to commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Experience

• No prior permanent employment with a single employer for more than one year.
• Must not have previously participated in the YES Programme.
